Phosphorus Nutrition of Corn

Now is a good time to take a fresh look at phosphorus (P) nutrition considerations for corn. A new presentation on the PPI website looks at several key points: changes in root system development over the season, impacts on attainable yield potential, requirements through growth stages, placement options, soil test levels and corn response to P inputs, and profitability of P fertility management. Slides in this PowerPoint set include speaker notes and references.

Crop Nutrition PowerPoint Series

The Crop Nutrition Series of PowerPoint presentations features nutrient and management information for major crops. Each presentation is prepared by IPNI North American Program scientific staff. Each topic includes approximately 40 slides each, with extensive speaker notes.

All presentations were created in Microsoft PowerPoint. To download a presentation, right click once on the PowerPoint icon. In the pop-up menu, choose Save Target As... or Save As..., depending on your browser. Select a location on your system to save the file. To view speaker notes, open the file in PowerPoint and on the main menu, choose View then Notes Page.
