New Plant Nutrition Book Released

A new book entitled "Study on Plant Nutrition and Fertilization in the Agricultural and Forest Systems of Southeast China" (Ed. Chen Fang ) was released in October 2005, Agricultural Publishing House of China. The book provides individual chapters on fertilization of fruits, vegetables, oil crops, lawn and pastures, forests, traditional medicinal plants, and finally plant nutrition considerations for rare and endangered species with 268 article pages and 8 color special crop pictures pages. This Chinese language publication also includes English abstracts.

A lot of work has been done with grain crops to satisfy the needs of agricultural development in the region of southeast China. Now, a stronger emphasis on balanced fertilization of cash crops is also in place. Results from research and demonstration activities further shows the importance of balanced fertilization on cash and special local advanced crops. Through the projects and activities, techniques of BF for cash and special crops in this region have been extended widely in recent years.

This new book summarizes research and demonstration results for more than 30 main cash crops of Southeast China (i.e., Anhui, Fujian, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Shanghai and Zhejiang Provinces). For more information please contact Dr. Chen Fang.
