Bermudagrass Needs N, P, and K
High yield, high quality bermudagrass production systems research reveals the benefits of NPK fertilization. Stand survival was improved by a balanced NPK fertilization program. In Georgia, stand survival and high yields of quality bermudagrass were achieved. Each ton of forage contained about 50 lb of N, 12 lb of P2O5 and 47 lb of K2O. Thus an attainable seven ton yield removes about 350 lb of N, 85 lb of P2O5, 330 lb of K2O, 25 lb of Mg and 30 lb of S from each acre.
